Kristina Zouein | Our Founder.
Of Canadian-Lebanese origins, Kristina lived most of her life in Beirut, until she moved to Brussels in 2015. Prior to that, she was the former designer and production director to the Johnny FARAH House of leather accessories between Beirut & NY. As a self-taught designer, Kristina’s journey was shaped by countless hours spent in Beirut’s bustling artisan-workshops, that fueled her passion and creativity.
“With my orthopedic shoemaking background, I design, craft, test and tweak the Kinamania shoe prototypes in my Brussels studio, before sending the samples to our skilled craft teams in Beirut and Portugal, where they produce them in small batches. To help customers connect with the art of craftsmanship, I design creative workshops where they can create their own bespoke leather accessories."
In 2015 and with more than 10 years experience, she creates KINAMANIA. In her Brussels studio, she passionately designs and prototypes the shoes and creative workshop lines that bear the distinctive KINAMANIA imprint.

Heritage.
We stand firm in our belief that heritage is not a relic of the past but a guiding force for the future. The name Kinamania itself traces back to the menorquina, a traditional Spanish sandal.
