Our Founder.
“Et voila, this is me, Kristina, founder and shoe designer at Kinamania. With my orthopedic shoemaking background, I design and craft our prototypes in my shoe size 41, (when industry standards is a 38 😄). I try them. Tweak them. And usually make a minimum of 3 upgrades before I send the designs to our skilled craft teams in Beirut and Portugal that bring them to life.”
Of Canadian-Lebanese origins, Kristina lived most of her life in Beirut, until she chose to move to Brussels in 2015. Prior to that, she was the former designer and production director to the Johnny FARAH House of leather accessories - between Beirut & NY – where she spent countless hours in artisans workshops in the busy Beirut streets. As a self-taught
designer, this was a very formative experience. In 2015 and with more than 10 years experience, she creates KINAMANIA.
In her Brussels studio, she passionately designs and prototypes the shoes and workshop lines that bear the distinctive KINAMANIA imprint.

We believe in soulful craftsmanship because it brings passion, authenticity, and a personal touch to every piece, creating products that are rich in character and meaning. Crafts also preserves and celebrates cultural heritage, keeping traditional skills and stories alive for future generations.
The Kinamania design and prototyping studio is based in Brussels and our soulful shoe lines are crafted with care between Lebanon and Portugal.
We also collaborate with craft-based NGOs whenever possible, and artists for our special collaborations lines.
Creating Bonds & Workshops.
We believe in creating bonds because the true magic of life lies in sharing moments and experiences with each other. Which is why we organize creative leather workshops where participants can craft their own accessories.
The experience goes beyond crafting; it fosters a strong sense of pride, warm interactions, in a soulful atmosphere.

Heritage.
We believe that the essence of a great shoe lies not just in its design and functionality but in the rich tapestry of history and craftsmanship that weaves through every pair we create. The name Kinamania itself traces back to the menorquina, a traditional Spanish sandal.
